Santa Sleigh
The Rotary Club of Jindalee has had a long involvement over many years with the 'Santa Sleigh' project in the Centenary suburb of Brisbane.
Santa's special helpers from the Jindalee Rotary Club fill a roster for two weeks leading up to Christmas.
'This program is such a wonderful opportunity for our club to interact with the families in our area.'
The sleigh is stored in a large garage during the year and gets dusted off and checked over, ready for its special journey around the Centenary suburbs each Christmas.
Signs and updates on the Jindalee Rotary Facebook page let everyone know where and when Santa will be visiting, and sure enough, there are always a whole lot of excited kids waiting.
'The kids absolutely love it, and so do the parents and other family members.'
The children hop up onto the sleigh and tell Santa what they hope for.
'It is such a beautiful moment having a little girl or boy tell Santa what they hope for on Christmas day.'
