ABOUT US

Creating Meaningful Impact

Since our launch on the 29th of October 1979, the team at the Rotary Club of Jindalee has worked tirelessly to promote our cause. We are fortunate to have volunteers and staff from all walks of life who bring their unique expertise and resources into everything we do.

This is what enables us to achieve our goals year after year.

While there is always more that can be done, there is no doubt that we are making a significant impact. We don’t measure our success through just facts and figures, but through happy faces and heartwarming feedback.

See how you can become part of the difference.

IDEA

We are Naturally Diverse

With more than 1.4 million team members in all corners of the globe, diversity is a daily reality for Rotary, and the Rotary Club of Jindalee is no exception.

This ambition, which we want to take forward with you, forms part of a drive to be open, promote equality in the workplace and prevent discrimination, everywhere we operate.

From the concept of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), a member from our district developed "IDEA". We are committed to "Action" - making words into reality.

Our proactive approach to diversity can be seen through the board's commitment to creating a DEI Taskforce and implementing a robust peer-reviewed DEI plan.

At Rotary, we understand that cultivating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture is essential to realizing our vision of a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change.

We value diversity and celebrate the contributions of people of all backgrounds, across age, ethnicity, race, colour, disability, learning style, religion, faith, socioeconomic status, culture, marital status, languages spoken, sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity as well as differences in ideas, thoughts, values, and beliefs.

Recognizing that individuals from certain groups have historically experienced barriers to membership, participation, and leadership, we commit to advancing equity in all aspects of Rotary, including in our community partnerships, so that each person has the necessary access to resources, opportunities, networks, and support to thrive.

We believe that all people hold visible and invisible qualities that inherently make them unique, and we strive to create an inclusive culture where each person knows they are valued and belong.

In line with our value of integrity, we are committed to being honest and transparent about where we are in our DEI journey as an organization, and to continuing to learn and do better.

If you have a personal story about diversity that you would like to share with us, we are always looking for inspiring and thought-provoking speakers to present at our weekly meetings.

We'd love to hear from you.
